So many people are traveling with their dogs that pets now have their own airline. The dogs get a reprieve from the cargo hold, have attendants, get a walk and some food. Pet Airways has been flying for six months and now serves ten cities (including BWI Airport) so far but interest from dog owners has been so great that their website has crashed so that bodes well for expansion plans.
Not as much fun for your dog as a road trip but it’s a step up when you have to fly.
